| For uniform products with slow turnover and many pallets of each article, drive-in racking offers a space-focused storage arrangement. It makes the fullest use of the available floor area and storage height, accommodating substantial quantities within the warehouse. In general, the number of loading aisles determines how many different article types drive-in racking can accommodate. Choose between two operating arrangements: drive-in racking uses a single access aisle, while drive-through racking allows loads to be approached from either side of the rack. Refrigerated and frozen cold stores often use this system because temperature-controlled product storage calls for maximum use of the available space.
